Tasks / Duties / Responsibility Organisational Management Financial Management Operational ManagementTaking "ownership" of all areas pertaining to the sites/parks/works in their charge & exceed maintenance standards R&D and Sportsfields Construction work involves, but is not limited to, contributing to the development, implementation, achievement and review of the division's business plan and its objectives; preparing/reviewing procurement plans and contract documentation for the engagement of Consultants and Contractors, reviewing tenders, recommending preferred suppliers, and managing the relationships throughout the project; planning, coordinating and managing project work to ensure it is carried out in a technically competent, timely and cost effective manner to agreed standards by allocating projects to in house staff/contractors according to type and resources available, matching supplier and internal financial systems requirements to meet supplier and customer needs, managing the financial expenditure throughout the project, ensuring year end performance meets targets, monitoring and reporting on project performance to Senior Manager; monitor compliance with, regulations, bylaws and resource consent conditions as required. Assess, report, measure and manage ongoing improvements, variations, or day works that may arise Ensure regimes are in place and adhered to Take responsibility for contractor and sub-contractor health and safety The organisation audit requirements. Maintenance of all plant and vehicles Maintain records of works done Relationship Management People Management Training Responsibility Sales Responsibility

Job CredentialsA relevant New Zealand (or like) certified qualification (Level 4 Certificate in "Sports Turf Management" or the equivalent "Level 4" qualification on the "National Qualification Framework" and/or proven practical experience in turf management. Experience in leadership and strong inter-personal skills Experience in effective communication Ability to work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures. Car and/or Heavy Vehicle Road Licence
Other Information Applicants would be able to work flexible hours, travel and work outside of Auckland if required, work unattended and be self-motivated. All applicants must have a current drivers license, the ability to work with a team, a desire to deliver outstanding customer service and be willing to go that extra mile.
